Bishop’s students and staff have been celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results. It’s amazing what you can build with cocktail sticks and midget gems! Pupils (and teachers) tried to build the highest freestanding structure in one of the Maths Enrichment Week activities this week.
Year 8 enjoyed the most fantastically creative Design activity on Tuesday, creating artworks inspired by the ritual of storytelling and Victorian Tunnel Books. Professional artist Zoe Scammell led the one day workshop and year 8 produced such wonderful outcome pieces. Fun was had by all!
Dave Ledger from Airbus Stevenage visited to give a presentation about our solar system, satellites and rockets. Y10 pupils had a wonderful opportunity to spend 3 nights in Belgium visiting the European Space Centre (Tim Peak watch out!) followed by shocking times at the Maison de la Science.
