GCSE Exam Results 2019
Bishop’s girls celebrated another fantastic set of results which were even better than last year’s successes! Our 2019 academic results were in fact some of our best ever. The continued trend of exceptional attainment was clear to see.
The most significant statistic, as stated in the DFE’s Performance Tables is the Progress 8 measure which records the progress students have made from Year 6 to Year 11; the vast majority of our girls have made excellent progress through their GCSE years with a school Progress 8 score for GCSE standing at 0.44 which places us in the Above Average category for three years running and in the top 20% of schools nationwide.
There is no doubt that all the students have worked very hard to achieve these excellent results and thanks must go to their teachers and parents for the support given. We wish all our girls success in what they choose to do next, confident that that their GCSE results give them a firm foundation for the future.
