At Bishop’s Hatfield we use a variety of communication systems to ensure parents and other members of our school community remain well-informed.
The main messaging system for parents and carers is our InTouch email system. All important notices and letters are sent through this and the system also enables parents to reply if needed. InTouch messages will be sent to the preferred email addresses provided and it is important to ensure that the school is informed of any changes. Copies of letters home are placed the Letters Home page of this website.
Occasionally we may need to send a text message, either with urgent news such as school closure or to advise you that your daughter has not arrived in school. Again, it is important to notify the school of any change in phone numbers.
Pupil absence may be advised to the school by text rather than letter. These should be sent to 07860 095596 and should clearly state the name, form and reason for absence. Please see our Attendance section for more information.
We are introducing a new App called Parentlite which will enable parents and carers to check and update their pupil’s contact details quickly and simply. More information will be issued shortly.
The reporting system that we use is called Go4Schools. All reports are accessible through the Go4Schools website which is available through the quick links on this website. Guidance notes are available in our Assessment section.
Facebook and Twitter
We recommend that parents and carers follow the official school Facebook page (link) and Twitter account (link). Feeds from these and Faculty Twitter accounts may be viewed on our BHGS Social Wall on the website home page.
The school uses Wisepay for all payments such as catering accounts, trips and visits. This is available through the Wisepay App using organisation code 71975131 or through the quick links on this website. We strongly encourage parents and carers to use Wisepay for canteen payments as it removes the need for pupils to carry cash and gives the added benefit of being able to track what items they are buying.
