Introduction to Enrichment
At BHGS we believe that enrichment is vital to pupil well-being, confidence and development. We ensure that our pupils “enjoy the journey” of school life through a diverse, inspiring and enriching offer of clubs, trips and wider school initiatives for all year groups, abilities and interests.
Enrichment Clubs: overview
At BHGS all members of staff offer an enrichment club, resulting in a large number and variety of after school activities for the girls to choose from in all Faculty areas. We strongly believe that there is at least one club for everyone at Bishop’s and students are expected to attend at least one club regularly a term. The pupils complete feedback surveys every term to evaluate the clubs available and staff adapt their offer in line with pupil recommendations. So, if there isn’t a club that appeals, speak to us and we’ll see if we can set one up that does!

So, why join an enrichment club?
Clubs are a great way to meet people from other forms and other years. Clubs are also a chance to take part in activities that we don’t always have time for in lessons, learning new skills and spending time with people who have similar interests. Clubs are also a fantastic opportunity to win House Points as pupils will receive a silver token which counts for one House Point every time they attend. Above all, clubs are FUN!
How do our enrichment clubs work?
The first week of term is always a ‘try out’ week. Girls can go along to any club and see what they think of it. In the second week, girls are expected to commit to the clubs they wish to attend as some clubs can get over-subscribed. Clubs run every day of the week apart from Tuesday. The clubs run from 3:00pm – 3:50pm, although Sports Clubs usually run until 4:10pm as this gives more time for getting changed. Clubs are for all year groups (including the Sixth Form) unless otherwise stated in the description.
The club timetable changes every term; please see below for the latest clubs on offer:
