Junior Maths Challenge Record
Record number of Gold Awards!
Our Years 7 and 8 girls proved to us how fantastic they could be as our top groups managed to pull in a record number of awards. This competition was made all the harder this year as schools and students had to make arrangements for the competition to be done online for the first time in history of the challenges. Despite these difficulties, Amber Sugg, Edie Keenan from Year 8, and Genna Yuen, Simran Gundigara, Katie Corke and Chloe Alton from Year 7 were extraordinarily successful in the competition, achieving Gold. This is phenomenal achievement as only about 5% of the country attain the coveted Gold Award. On top of this we have a further 15 Silver Award winners and 28 Bronze Award winners. This is a staggering number of awards and the Maths department are thrilled with these results. We look forward to seeing how these students’ Mathematical skills develop in the coming years.
