Bringing RE to Life

Local Church Parish visit for GCSE RE pupils

On Thursday 5th November, GCSE RE pupils visited St John’s Parish Church. The vicar spoke to the students about Christian worship, practices, and its role in the community. This helped consolidate their GCSE course, bringing the textbook to life.

They were able to explore around the church, looking at items we studied in class. The students asked the vicar some challenging questions about the beliefs of the Church of England, such as how they try to prevent crime in the area and their views on abortion.
