Parliament Week Bake-Off!
Bishop’s hosts very first Parliament Week bake-off celebration!
During Parliament Week, a team of Sixth Form students decided that one of the best ways to celebrate what parliament is and what it does was to invite pupils to participate in a bake-off style competition. The theme of the bake off was that the cake had to pay tribute to democracy in the UK or worldwide. The judges took their places as ‘Paul, Prue, Noel and Matt’ to judge over 35 different cakes, cupcakes and biscuits to decide which one was worth of winning the Bishop’s Parliamentary Bake off. Stand out mentions include a Boris Johnson made out of fondant, a ballot box cake that you could interact with by voting for political parties using biscuits and a cake about the COP climate change summit.
