Royal Society Young People’s Book Awards

BHGS was delighted to be chosen to judge the Young People’s Book Awards 2019

A group of Year 8s judged the shortlist for the Royal Society’s Young People’s Book Awards 2019 today. Chosen to be one of the judging panel schools, BHGS received a set of the six fabulous shortlisted science books for our pupils to review.

This prize is solely judged by under-14s, with the winners announced in the autumn. The girls were all very enthusiastic and entered into some lively debates about the books in their groups. Thanks to our Librarians for organising this.
