Bishop’s Pupils Compete at County Competition

On Saturday 6th February 2022, Miss Cameron took a selection of pupils to attend and represent Bishop’s at the Hertfordshire County Cross Country competition at Westminster Lodge in St Albans. The weather conditions were very good with lots of sunshine and a little bit of a cold breeze to make for great running conditions.

The girls who had been selected to compete at County standard were picked due to their excellent performances in the District competition back in November 2021 where pupils finished in the top 10 of their age groups. They were:

Year 7 – Miruna B (7Fr) and Hurinatu K (7Ha). Year 8 – Cecile R (8Au) and Erin W (8Pa) Year 9 – Selected but unable to run due to other sporting extra curricular commitments – Ruby S (9Se) and Anna S (9Au) Year 11 – Amelie H and Amelie R (11Ha)

Unfortunately, none of the girls made it into the top 6 and did not get selected for Hertfordshire but all girls ran incredibly well and were, as always, a credit to our BHGS community.
