Anti-bullying Committee visits Oakview Primary School
The Anti-bullying Ambassadors talk to Primary pupils about the effects of bullying on mental health.
On Friday the 22nd March, we went to the lovely school of Oak View to talk about how bullying affects people’s mental health. We talked to Year 5 and 6 and they were wonderful and respectful. They sat quietly in assembly and listened. We talked about the many different types of bullying and the difference between bullying and banter as well as what bullying exactly is, and the meaning of Neurodiversity. We also acted out and described all the different scenarios associated with bullying and did many quizzes with them where they contributed very well, and when they were asked questions they put their hands up accordingly and didn’t speak out of turn. We spent a lot of time planning the assembly and it all paid off as we taught young minds about bullying and its effects. We really enjoyed being there and teaching them and we hope we can work with them again in the future.
