Green Warriors Club Leads Successful Litter Pick for Great British Clean Up 2025
Helping to make our local area cleaner!
On a bright and sunny afternoon this week, the Green Warriors Club at Bishop’s Hatfield Girls’ School took part in the national Great British Clean Up campaign, showing their commitment to making a positive environmental impact. Armed with litter picks, bags, and plenty of enthusiasm, the students set out to clean up Woods Avenue, along the front of our school. The litter pick was a resounding success, with Green Warriors collecting hundreds of pieces of waste scattered along the street. From plastic bottles to food wrappers, the students worked tirelessly to ensure the area was left cleaner and safer for the community. Their efforts not only helped improve the local environment but also raised awareness about the importance of keeping our surroundings litter-free. The Great British Clean Up campaign, which takes place annually, encourages communities across the country to come together and tackle littering. It is part of a broader movement to improve public spaces, raise awareness of environmental issues, and promote sustainability. The Green Warriors Club’s successful clean-up is a testament to the power of teamwork and the dedication of our students to improving their local environment. After the event, the students gathered for a group photo in front of their impressive haul of collected litter, proudly showcasing their hard work and determination. Let’s continue to work together to make our local area a cleaner, greener world.
