GCSE Exam Results 2024
Bishop’s Hatfield Girls’ School is proud to announce that fantastic GCSE, BTEC and A Level grades were achieved in 2024.
Last years’ 2023 GCSE results were some of the best the school had ever had and by most measures, this year’s 2024 cohort have equaled or bettered this academic success.
- Almost 40% of all grades were 7 or above
- Over 90% of all grades were 4 or above
- There was a 100% pass rate overall
- At BTEC 46% of grades were Distinction or Distinction*
- Many pupils significantly exceeded their externally set challenge target grades.
As with A Level outcomes, these results are significantly above national and local averages. There were some outstanding individual achievements with:
● 29 pupils achieving grades 9-7 in seven or more subjects
● 13 pupils achieving grades 9-7 in all of their subjects
These impressive results demonstrate the potential for great future success in the Sixth Form at Bishop’s. They show that the combination of excellent teaching and pastoral care, pupil dedication and determination and parent/carer support and encouragement enable our students to achieve their potential.

This year saw the return of public examinations being matched to pre-pandemic assessment criteria and reflect the hard work, determination and commitment of both our staff and students. We would like to congratulate all pupils on their excellent results.
55.9% of all year 11 students secured a strong pass (Grade 5 or above) in English and Maths
73.8% of all year 11 students secured 5 or more 9-4 grades including English and Maths
31% of all year 11 students secured 5 or more grades at 7-9
36.6% of all year 11 students achieved the English Baccalaureate with Grades 5 or above

Bishop’s Hatfield Girls’ School is proud to announce that the GCSE, BTEC and A Level grades achieved in 2022 are even better than last year’s! This year saw the return of public examinations, after two years of grades being established via a comprehensive system of school based assessment. These results are some of our highest ever and reflect the hard work and commitment of both our staff and students.
64% of all year 11 students secured a strong pass (Grade 5 or above) in English and Maths
81% of all year 11 students secured 5 or more 9-4 grades including English and Maths
41% of all year 11 students secured 5 or more grades at 7-9.
42% of all Year 11 students achieved the English Baccalaureate with Grades 5 or above
