Our Intermediate Youth Speaks Team performed brilliantly at the District Final.
Our Intermediate Team of Nelly Currant, Lily Leverton and Katie Honour, spoke beautifully at last night’s Rotary Youth Speaks District Final at Vandyke Upper School in Leighton Buzzard. Discussing the query, “Should more support be given to the homeless?” the girls spoke eloquently and with boundless enthusiasm and we as a school are immensely proud of their achievement of getting so far in the competition.
The girls faced teams from all over the District including, Aylesbury High School, Ashylns School, Beechwood Park School, St Alban’s Girls’ School and The Priory School. Unfortunately, the girls did not win but they were definitely Mrs Jackson’s winners by far!
A massive well done to them all and huge congratulations go to Katie Honour who won a prize for the “Best Vote of Thanks” of the evening – well done Katie! We look forward to hearing what the girls are going to talk about in the competition next year!
