Bishop’s Shines at Chess Championships
Bishop’s Chess Club test their skills and achieve remarkable success in the Herts Secondary School Chess Championships
On 4th March, six students from the Bishop’s Chess Club competed in the Herts Secondary School Chess Championships at Dame Alice Owen’s School. The event saw nine Hertfordshire schools battling it out, with five teams vying for victory in the fiercely contested Girls’ section. Our students, a mix of seasoned players who joined our Chess Club since its 2023 inception and enthusiastic newcomers who began in September 2024, were ready to put themselves to the test. Facing tough competition, Team A secured an impressive second place in the Girls’ section, showcasing their skill and dedication.
Congratulations to all participants for representing our school so well—we look forward to more successes in the future!
