Ashfield Music Festival: Where Physics and Music Collide
During Physics Week, 60 Year 10 students gathered to complete a series of challenging physics problems, based around the development of a festival stage.
On April 25th, 60 year 10 students gathered for the Ashfield Music Festival Project. As part of Physics Week, the event challenged participants with intricate physics problems, fostering teamwork and perseverance. Amongst it all, students used their knowledge of physics to build 3D models of stage structures, design colour changing costumes, build electrical circuits, and entered the (surprisingly exciting!) world of health and safety requirements.
The festival showcased the diverse applications of physics in the real world, offering insights into career paths and a preview of the A-level physics course. As excitement builds for the winner’s announcement, one thing is clear: the Ashfield Music Festival Project has ignited a passion for physics and collaboration among all who participated. Stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion!
