Year 7 Inter House Dance
Franklin emerge victorious in the Year 7 Inter House Dance competition
On Thursday 18th and Friday 26th November, Year 7 pupils competed in the Inter House Dance competitions in their double PE lessons.
This was the first Inter House Dance competition for this year group and it was fantastic to see so many pupils involved and showing off a wide array of Dance skills!
PE teachers who would normally teach each half of the year group used a set criteria to award marks to each act and the pupils who were not performing were asked to vote for their favourite acts in terms of entertainment and choreography.
Each House could have a maximum of 3 entries per year group and acts could be soloists, duets, trios or larger groups depending on how many pupils wanted to be involved. For each person who participated they each received 1 House Point for their efforts and the act which received the most marks received the “Audience Choice” award in each half of the year group (plus 3 additional House Points).
The acts were combined for each half of the year group and the top 3 acts in each year group received 1 additional House Point – 3rd place, 3 additional House Points -2nd place and 5 additional House Points – 1st place.
The Year 7 final positions were as follows – Joint 1st place – Siahra E 7Fr and Eva P 7Pa 3rd place – Scarlett H 7Fr 4th place – Babara I 7Au 5th place – Ruby C 7Pa 6th place – Keira M 7Se Joint 7th place – Tatenda C 7Se/Katie R and Ellen H 7Se Joint 9th place – Anastasia A 7Pa/ Kimberley N and Tinisha T 7Fr 11th place – Izzy N7Au 12th place – Amelie A, Molly Vand Alice W 7Ha *=Audience Choice Vote –

And a final thank you to all of the PE staff for taking the time to run this event for the pupils.
