House Parr Bin Bag Fashion Show
Teachers dress up for the Bin Bag Fashion Show to raise money for The Rainforest Foundation UK
As House Parr, we chose to raise money for the Rainforest Foundation UK in our £1 Challenge as we are all extremely enthusiastic about helping the environment and conserving the rainforest and its indigenous tribes. We felt this was a good way to help the environment after the Amazon Rainforest fire. Our house organised several events to raise money for this charity and in total we raised £188.03.
A small group of us organised and carried out a bin bag teacher fashion show as we figured it was an original idea that worked well with our environmental theme. Although at first we felt it was risky and weren’t sure it would pay off, it was very successful on the day and we raised approximately £120.
27 teachers participated in the event and each form designed and created a bin bag outfit for a teacher. 7 Franklin were the winning form for the best outfit, creating a masterpiece out of colourful crisp packets for Mrs Higgin; Mr Kench was voted best teacher model by the audience members.
