A Trip to the Wizarding World
Warner Bros studios tour and workshop
Our annual trip to Leavesden was once again a success. Almost 100 Year 9 pupils visited the Warner Bros Studios on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th April as a part of their English studies. The day began with a workshop about the making of Harry Potter and how it moved from script to screen, which was led by the onsite education team. They also talked through how many people are needed to make a film and how even the smallest jobs make such a big difference, which even intrigued the teachers. At the end of the workshop, we were then free to explore the studios from the Great Hall at the beginning to a picturesque model of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at the end and everything else in between. We took a visit to the gift shop, which was highly expensive but was magical nevertheless. Everyone loved every room of the tour and luckily, no one got drunk on butterbeer. Thank you to all of the teachers who came on the trip and a special thank you to Ms. Herlock for organising the trip and coming with us too.
