Year 11 celebrate the end of their exams at their Prom

Year 11 celebrated the end of their exams and the start of the next chapter in their Bishop’s seven-year-journey with an evening of fun and glamour at Mill Green Golf Club on 28th June 2024.

Planning for the event had started months before when all year 11 pupils in each form were invited to apply for the position of event organisers at the start of the academic year. The successful applicants and their Head of Year, Miss Graves, formed the Prom Committee. They worked together as a team throughout the year to plan an event that would be enjoyable for all.

By the start of summer, they had booked the venue, chosen the colour scheme and sought decorations to match it, ordered the food, booked a photographer and had a clear outline of what this popular celebration should entail.

On the day of the Prom, Miss Graves along with some of the committee and a parent, decorated the venue to turn it into the magical space that it became on the night. Pupils enjoyed a delicious finger buffet and a DJ kept them dancing throughout the evening. A professional photographer captured the evening with some beautiful photos that the Year 11 students can keep to remember the evening by.

We wish our Year 11 a fantastic summer of fun and recovery, and look forward to seeing them again in September.
