The Big Garden Birdwatch
Green Club braves the weather for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch
The school joined the RSPB ( Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) for its annual bird watch this month for the 4th year running. Although the weather was miserable, we are pleased to announce that the wild bird population is slowly increasing around our school, showing that the great work the members of the Green Club are doing is paying off.
Over half a million people regularly take part in counting birds in their gardens. With 40 years’ worth of data, the Big Garden Birdwatch has allowed the RSPB to monitor trends and better understand how birds are doing. If you want to join us next year, please contact The Green Club.
