Royal Academy of Arts life drawing master class at Bishop’s

Key Stage 4 Art, Craft and Design students participate in a one day workshop with Royal Academy of Arts visiting artist and tutor Jeanette Barnes.

Last week the year 10 and 11 Art GCSE students enjoyed an exciting and fast paced workshop, delivered by artist Jeanette Barnes, as part of the Royal Academy Outreach programme. As an introduction to life drawing, the students were challenged to create new art works on a much larger scale than they have ever experienced, drawing from direct observation of a professional artist’s model. Jeanette taught new drawing and observation techniques, using her own observations from her wide range of experience.
