Ready Steady Cook: Consortium Cook off!

Sixth Formers enter a cook off competition with other schools from the Welwyn Hatfield Consortium

Bishop’s sixth formers were given the brief to create and cook a 2 course menu for four, on a budget, suitable for feeding their new housemates at university. Students came together from across the Consortium schools to compete against each other, creating delicious dishes such as home made pizza, chicken curry, Gyros, banoffee pie, chicken & pasta and duck à l’orange on a bed of beetroot salad. Although we didn’t win, we came highly commended with our combination of Margherita pizza, dough balls, potato wedges and chocolate brownies, finishing off with a serving of chilled fresh homemade lemonade.
