Drama
Drama as a practical, artistic and intellectual activity is another strong feature in our school.
It is taught as part of the foundation course in the arts for Years 7, 8 and 9. Co-operative working with other subjects is a key feature of the course including the support of work in speaking and listening of the English Faculty and links with Humanities.
Drama lessons take place in our large, purpose-built studio which is well-equipped to provide the range of courses on offer. Pupils have one 50 minute lesson per week in each year from Year 7 to Year 9. Drama is a popular GCSE option subject in its own right and Drama and Theatre Studies is an established successful course at Advanced Level.
Drama Club takes place after school and plays and musicals are performed regularly.
